Kindergarten
Kindergarten Education in Denver Public Schools Denver Public Schools (DPS) provides developmentally appropriate kindergarten education services for five-year-old children in Denver. These services are presented in all DPS elementary schools. The program serves approximately 6,700 kindergarten children. All kindergarten instruction is in alignment with the district's standards and curriculum Matrices. Parents should contact and visit their neighborhood school to learn more about the kindergarten program and the available offerings. Kindergarten Calendar The kindergarten calendar typically follows the school academic calendar. For specific daily start and finish times, parents should contact their neighborhood school. Registration Requirements There are specific registration requirements for kindergarten registration. Parents can contact the Early Education Department at (720) 423-8212/8213/8208 or their neighborhood school for more information.
